Notes from the Developer

GolfBUD is an application dedicated to tracking personal development of your golf game. Using iTunes, the "MyGolfBUDData.csv" file is a current log of your golf data to download and create your analytics in a spreadsheet. GolfBUD iPhone allows you to send your tee time details, statistics, or scorecard to yourself or social connections.

Golfbud is designed to improve your game awareness. Build your golf course pre-game with the tee position, yardage, par, and handicap values for each tee. By entering your total score with putts and final putt distance you are building an objective personal database of your game.

The iPhone/iPad version of the app has the full tee log. With AppleWatch, regardless of iPhone paring, you can create and score a complete round of golf. Statistic graphs support awareness of your rounds. Travel through time with the complication and view your previous total score or view the days you have tee times scheduled in the future. Summary Statistics

GolfBUD includes a satellite map with 40 yard (in the U.S., meter elsewhere) radial distance markers on the tee log. The map is a satellite image with fully functional zoom, rotation, and panning support.

The map requires a cellular connection and will place you within 5+/- yards of your actual location. Pinpoint accuracy is best achieved with a range finder.

The round summary statistics screen is a visual presentation of game indicators mapping score and par, tee shot length to hole distance, putts to score and putt to par, approach shot accuracy and final putt distance.

GolfBUD Purpose, Drop Your Score!

To reduce your score requires patience, practice, persistence, and punctuation. GolfBUD is a punctuation tool. Anticipate your round building your course prior to the round. Take a moment and visualize pulling an iron from your bag to play a par three. See yourself driving the ball over the water hazard in front of the tee box on the notorious course par five.

Apple Watch

Play rounds of golf on your AppleWatch without being paired to your iPhone. Keep your GolfBUD updated with planned tee times and keep a log of past rounds to travel time.

Navigation

The GolfBUD table view, primary user interface, lists your golf courses and allows you to duplicate a course with pre-entered tee data, create new courses, and maintain the course log.

Keeping Score

Use the scorecard to log your gross score or use the tee logs to collect your score and detailed stroke information.

Statistics

GolfBUD updates your round score, estimates your handicap (after ten rounds) and displays your scoring and putting averages.

Sharing GolfBUD

Text, mail, or tweet your scorecard, tee and green stats.
